Licensed since 1972, original call WA1PYZ. I've been an Extra Class licensee since 1978.

I build my own test equipment when needed and some of my own radios.

I started in QRP because of an interference problem with a touch lamp in my mother-in-law's apartment. I found it such a challenge, that I intend to stick with it.

I primarily operate CW on 40m with my K1-4, but many other radios.

I have achieved DXCC, WAS, WAC, and WPX during my time as an amateur, but primarily am interested in making contacts. I can be found near the QRP watering holes occassionally on my favorite band: 40m
