Dropping Sessions?

session issues?
Well, I don't know about dropping sessions, but it does seem like I need to login twice in a row to actually login; first time the login prompts just reappear blank. Second time, a picture pops up in the upper right, and my login name shows up on the left above all the menues and I'm in.
