Hello,
I'm considering purchasing an Icom 703 plus. Would appreciate any users comments on the rig.I've read ARRL product review,eham.net and belong to the Yahoo groups.Thank you.

Hi Ron.
I have the IC-703, not the plus model. I have found it to be a very competant HF rig. I would recommend getting an optional CW filter, since I know that is one of your main interests.
For the 703 and the plus, having the internal ATU and audio DSP are nice features. Also, the 703 handles running on reduced voltage very well (down to about 9 volts or so).
As I'm sure you know, any rig purchase involves weighing the features and price vs what you really want the radio to do for you. That said, I find the 703s to be a good all-around QRP rig.
