inside NEScaf in an altoids tin 2
Submitted by jerry terres on November 23, 2006 - 23:28.
The tin was used as a common ground to simplify wiring. The positve power plug connects to center of one side of the switch and the ground is soldered to the inside of the tin. The tip and ring wires connect to the center of the other side of the switch while the base/braid is soldered to the inside of the tin. The ground for the audio out jack, ground next to the 'audio in' on the board and next to the 'power in' on the board are all soldered to the inside of the tin. The mounting holes are not grounded and the support bolts are tack glued to the tin with epoxy. 72
