Sign up for the *NEW* NE-QRP Email list

Hi Gang.
We've had some serious trouble lately with the New England QRP Club Email reflector. As Dr. McCoy on Star Trek used to say, "He's dead, Jim." A -NEW- email list has been set up. Unfortunately, the old subscriber list is not available to us. This means you will have to re-subscribe. You can sign up for the new list serv at:

Thanks to our webmaster Scott, N1AIA for getting us started again! -Bruce N1RX

OK, this message about signing up for the new list is dated 22 Oct 2009, so looks new. I followed the link, signed up, and promptly received an email saying I am already signed up -- ?? what's up ??

Maybe just confusion over

Maybe just confusion over the two home page announcements?

When I set up the new mailing list, I edited the old web page giving instructions on how to sign up. (This page still shows a 2006 "creation" date.) But all I did was put in a mailto link for people to get complete instructions by email.

A few days later Bruce made this blog entry to help promote the new list more properly. So the *new* list he's announcing is the same new list. If you had subscribed based on my initial notice, then tried again based on Bruce's advertisement, you'd get the response you did.

Otherwise, I haven't a clue.

This new list is "from scratch," though. No subscribers from the old system were carried over to the new.

I'll remove one home page announcement to help prevent further confusion.
